MoneySign Suede, a Los Angeles figure whose career was taking off, was stabbed to death in a prison located in Soledad, California.
An investigation was opened after the discovery of the body.
His attorney said the rapper was stabbed in the neck while in the shower.

His real name Jaime Brugada Valdez, he had been sentenced to 32 months in prison for cases related to firearms.
He went to court in December.
He was 22 years old.
