At 22 she adopts 13 children

Kathy Davis left the United States for Uganda, leaving her old life behind.

At 18, she was class president and prom queen. Everyone thought Katie would go to a prestigious college and then build a successful career.

But unexpectedly for everyone, the girl gave up everything and went on a charity mission to Uganda.

She thought she would only spend a year in this country but it turned out that she was destined to stay there forever.

She decided to help the neighborhood children and adopted one and then 12 other girls. As Katie herself says, this adoption was her most important lesson in harmony and love.

There she met the love of her life Benji Majors, and they have 14 little ones, and only one of them is their biological son Noah.

The big family lives in the small village of Jinja, not far from Lake Victoria.

Katy recently wrote a book that became a bestseller. The book is called Kisses from Kathy.

Today the family lives on a modest salary and income from the published book.
